The Final Problem 

Considering filming is well under way on the Sherlock adaptation of The Final Problem it’s time to bring back the canon download posts!  

The Final Problem is the final short story featured in The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes and can be read online here, here or here. This time it’s significantly shorter than The Hound of the Baskervilles so really there’s no excuses! Again you can also find the book (The Memoirs) on iBooks (I think for free but don’t quote me) and always those odd little book store things. The sites I’ve given are just three examples of many options. Also, I haven’t included the screen adaptations for this (I might later) but if you are going to read The Final Problem, which I really, really recommend you do, then have a look at The Adventure of the Empty House too which should be read as a companion piece. You can find that online here.

Again, but especially with The Final Problem, the whole thing works a whole lot better if you have previously read the rest of the canon proceeding this but if you are really against that then I suppose do what you like.

Note: This adaptation isn’t exact it just features snippets from the original story including a similar confrontation between Sherlock Holmes and Professor Moriarty in Baker Street.
